A Guide

Life isn't easy. You probably didn't need me to tell you that. We all experience the hardships and difficulties of this world. Sometimes those things can blind the way and we cannot see what is ahead. Thankfully God is our guide. He can lead us through those dark and difficult places as we look to him, our light and truth. We may struggle to know what to do and we may wonder - How are we going to get through this job loss, sickness or divorce etc?

We have been going through a difficult time and lately I have been struggling. I told my husband I feel like I am being tossed in the waves and struggling to stay afloat. But I realize I have let go of my life preserver (Jesus) and I am trying to do it on my own. It is difficult for me to trust when things look bleak and when the answers aren't there. In my humanness I want to know how God is going to work it out. I don't think he is going to tell me but that is where faith comes in. Trust and obey, follow and allow him to lead. I know I can trust him as he has seen us through in the past. I just needed a little reminder. :)

This morning during my devotions I was listening to "God Will Make a Way" by Don Moen - just the reminder I needed. After listening to this beautiful song I turned to the word and found several verses about God being my guide. Meditate on them with me and then listen to "God Will Make a Way". If you are like me you just might need the reminder that he is faithful, true and will make a way.
